hallo.immo is a PropTech start-up from Tettnang on Lake Constance that was founded in August 2020. hallo.immo is a real estate calculator as a SaaS solution that consultants use to calculate their own yield properties and send individual investment offers to their clients. hallo.immo real estate software is available as a 30-day trial, monthly and annual subscription. In order to map this pricing model and also be supported in terms of accounting, hallo.immo has chosen Billwerk+.

Quelles solutions avez-vous envisagées pour relever ce défi technique ?

For us, in-house development was never an option. We agreed that only a provider that takes care of the accounting, is easy to set up and offers different subscription models comes into question.

Billwerk+ offered us the most flexibility, user-friendliness and professionalism. We were particularly impressed by the diverse integration options of the open platform with the REST API. Thanks to the sandbox and developer documentation, we were able to take our time to test all user flows before migrating to the live system. Another factor that played a role in our choice of Billwerk+ was to have a German provider at our side who understands our requirements and scales with our success.

Comment s’est déroulée l’intégration de Billwerk+ et la transformation de l’organisation en lien avec la solution ?

Because the registration takes place via hallo.immo, it was obvious from the beginning that the user can sign up for or cancel all kinds of plans for the real estate calculator and that this information must be stored in the company’s own database and constantly be updated in order to offer the user the customer journey that he or she expects. Other challenges included the integration of one or more payment providers and email marketing services. We finally decided on Stripe (credit card payment, direct debit) and PayPal. The connection and integration to Mailchimp was done via the web services integration platform Zapier. Trial users who are in the free trial phase receive an onboarding lifecycle with the aim of successfully upgrading them, i.e. from the free to the paid version.

Comment la solution fonctionne-t-elle aujourd’hui ? Quelle est votre conclusion ?

The user registers at hallo.immo for the real estate calculator and in the second step signs up for a 30-day trial version of the calculator via the self-service. After the trial period has expired, the user can still log in, but will only see the order page where he or she can decide on a plan variant. In the future, we would like to implement the registration with the completion of the trial version in one step.

Avez-vous des conseils utiles pour d’autres chefs de projet dans le domaine des logiciels immobiliers qui sont confrontés à un défi similaire ?

Decide on a payment service provider early on. In the beginning, we only considered PayPal. However, it can take several weeks from registration for the Reference Transaction procedure to approval. With Stripe, on the other hand, the registration and approval process took less than 1 hour.
