The Dankort is the preferred payment method in Denmark, and having an agreement that allows you to accept Dankort means you can accept payments from the majority of the Danish consumers.
Dankort accounts for most card transactions in Denmark, and also have card variations co-branded with Visa and Mastercard. With Dankort, consumers can also pay contactless, either with the physical Dankort or mobile payments such as Apple Pay. Contactless payments are very common in Denmark – 80% of all Dankort transactions are contactless.
